Premier Inn now available within new Concur Travel

SAP Concur , Petr Seidner |

Premier Inn booking is now simpler and efficient- available directly through new Concur Travel via traditional GDS and SAP Concur’s hotel connector, providing a more seamless experience for travel bookers and managers - thanks to a full integration.

Another key improvement is the support for bill-back payment functionality via Concur Travel. Previously, when staying at Premier Inn, business travellers were required to provide a personal credit card at check in, even if their company preferred central billing. Employees no longer need to worry about covering hotel costs upfront, and finance teams can manage payments more efficiently through their TMC partners.

The integration covers all Premier Inn locations ensuring comprehensive availability across the UK, Ireland and Germany. Public and corporate negotiated rates are accessible meaning businesses can take full advantage of any preferred pricing agreements while ensuring travellers have the flexibility they need.

Premier Inn remains available on Concur Travel, with over 850+ hotels available to book across the UK and Ireland and an additional 60+ in Germany. This bolsters SAP Concur’s accommodation offering, which now hosts up to 8m different accommodation providers. This update makes booking Premier Inn easier and more efficient for businesses and reaffirms SAP Concur’s commitment to providing a range of accommodation options for business travellers.

What changed?

Premier Inn, the UK’s largest hotel brand providing customers with a cost-effective option for business travel, has always been a favourite for business travellers in the UK, Ireland and Germany. However, a lack of Sabre GDS integration meant that previous bookings relied on an alternative interface, which required additional steps and was not as seamless as a direct GDS connection. Now, with full integration, Premier Inn can be booked through new Concur Travel, improving efficiency and accessibility.

Thanks to full GDS integration, TMCs can configure payment credentials, allowing organisations to use centralised billing. This change removes previous limitations and ensures that Premier Inn can be booked in the same way as other major hotel chains.

Why this matters.

For travel managers, the benefits of this update go beyond just ease of booking. A fully integrated Premier Inn offering provides better visibility into travel spend, helping companies track and manage costs more effectively. Public and corporate negotiated rates are accessible which ensures businesses can secure the best options for their needs, whether prioritising flexibility, savings or negotiated corporate rates.

The billback functionality is another major advantage, particularly for industries where central billing is a preferred or necessary option. Employees no longer need to worry about covering hotel costs upfront, and finance teams can manage payments more efficiently through their TMC partners.

Charlie Sultan, President Concur Travel at SAP Concur says “At SAP Concur, we’re committed to making business travel as seamless and efficient as possible. The new integration ensures Premier Inn is more easily accessible through new Concur Travel, giving travel managers and bookers a smooth, more streamlined experience.

The addition of full GDS integration and bill-back payment functionality means organisations can now manage accommodation bookings with greater ease while employees no longer need to cover hotel costs upfront. This is a significant step forward in providing flexibility, control, and cost efficiency for our customers”
